In Sarajevo they use Convertible mark, but it is also often possible to pay with Euro (€) many places, especially in hotels and larger stores. Most places in the city – restaurants, cafes, and shops – also accept international payment cards such as Visa and Mastercard.
As Sarajevo is a modern metropolis, it's easy to withdraw money or pay digitally. Prices are generally lower than in Denmark, which makes experiencing the city's gastronomy attractive. We recommend having some local currency or Euros in cash for smaller cafes and market stalls in the old bazaar, but otherwise, you'll manage perfectly well with cards.

It has never been easier to reach the heart of the Balkans. Depending on your departure city and season, there are several good options for flying direct or with a single, quick layover:
- Aeroplane Direct routes: In the summer half of the year, it flies Norwegian and SAS often direct from Copenhagen (CPH) to Sarajevo. From Billund and Hamburg there are also direct routes with, among others,. Wizz Air.
